One of the great challenges for a menopausal woman is how to cope with the debilitating symptoms that affect her daily lives

Posted on September 17, 2020. Filed under: Uncategorized |

One of the great challenges for a menopausal woman is how to cope with the debilitating symptoms that affect her daily lives – most commonly

hot flushes,

fatigue,

headaches,

irritability,

insomnia, and

depression.
All these symptoms are caused by the drastic decrease of estrogen, the consequence of deteriorated functioning of the ovaries. The ovaries produce so little estrogen that the lining of the womb fails to thicken up so periods stop altogether. Throughout a woman’s life, estrogen helps to protect her heart and bones, as well as maintains the breasts, womb, vagina and bladder in their healthy state.

The marked loss of estrogen can increase the risk of heart disease and the bone disorder – osteoporosis.

Other problems include vaginal dryness, discomfort during sex, recurrent urine infections and incontinence.

We have five senses:

the eyes to see,

the tongue to taste,

the nose to smell,

the ears to hear, and

the skin to touch.

By far the most important organs of sense are our eyes. We perceive up to 80 per cent of all impressions by means of our sight. Our eyes are very useful to our life.

We could see the creation of GOD because of our eyes. We gain happy memories and experiences because of our sight.

We can interpret things clearly and correctly by the things we see. We may be able to distinguish something that is beautiful from ugly. Without our sight, our life will never be complete.

Common eye disorder is glaucoma

Posted on September 3, 2020. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Common eye disorder is glaucoma. It is one of the leading causes of blindness in older adults.
Vision loss due to glaucoma can’t be recovered.

There is fluid circulating in the eye. When fluid is overproduced or the drainage system doesn’t work properly, the fluid can’t flow out at its normal rate and pressure builds up. The high pressure causes gradual damage to the optic nerve. At late stage, people with glaucoma end up having tunnel vision.

Maculais the small central area of the retina that controls visual acuity.

The health of the macula determines our ability to read, recognize faces, drive, watch television, use a computer, and perform any other visual task that requires us to see fine detail.

Harmful UV rays from the sun and high-energy visible radiation, also called blue light radiation by LED lights, computer, smartphone and tablet screens, are the major causes of macular degeneration.
